Recreational Program Questions

The Twisters Gymnastic Club Recreational Program currently offers 8 programs with varying levels and all age categories. Here are some of our most frequently asked questions about our programs. If you do not find the answer to your question here or anywhere else on our website, please email us your questions at recdirector@twistersgymbc.com

Athletes should wear something that is comfortable for exercising, i.e. a tee shirt and leggings or shorts.

They should not wear anything too loose, as they will be doing skills that require them to go upside down.

Please do not wear jeans, or anything with buttons or zippers that could get caught or scratch our equipment, and no long dangly jewelry.

Bare feet is preferred to avoid slipping on the equipment.

Long hair should be tied back and out of their face.

Leotards are available for purchase through the office, but are not required.

Please send your athlete with a refillable water bottle. Our water fountains have been turned off, but we have a touchless water bottle fill station available. Please don't send your athlete with any food, as they do not have a snack break during class, and we do not allow any food on the floor. Should you choose to bring food into the facility for any reason, please note that we are a PEANUT FREE facility

Unfortunately, due to the current Covid restrictions and regulations given to us by viaSport and Gymnastics BC, no spectators are allowed in the facility.

As restrictions lessen, we will update with any changes given by viaSport and Gymnastics BC.

When registering for the session you are committing to the full session, but if for some unforeseeable reason you need to withdraw the following withdrawal policy is in place:

Classes can be dropped at any time with 1 full calendar month notice (just like rent).  Notice MUST be in writing (email or handed into office).

To view our full withdrawal policy, click here.

If you choose to change the day or class your child attends for any reason, you can call the office or request a transfer through the Parent Portal, and a staff member will assist you. This requires no notice.

Everyone who enters our facility is required to complete a daily screening health check every time they visit. All participants are required to sign waivers on their first day attending class.

Click here for access to the daily screening health check.

We have enhanced our cleaning and have sanitizing stations placed throughout the facility.

Social distancing markings have been placed throughout the facility.

All staff are required to wear a mask at all times.

No spotting is permitted.

All classes will exit through their designated exit door.
